THE NORTHERN VISION FELLOWS PROGRAM

The Arctic Encounter fellows experience a backstage pass to North America’s largest Arctic event and leaders from around the world.

The Arctic Encounter’s (AES) Northern Vision Fellows Program a unique opportunity for early-career professionals aged 18-29 to expand their networks within the Arctic. 2024 is the inaugural debut of this fellowship opportunity, and one that AES intends to continue and grow long into the future. Upon acceptance, participants receive an all-access pass to the 2024 Arctic Encounter Symposium (AES) in Anchorage. This exclusive pass not only provides registration to all conference sessions but also unlocks the doors to mentoring, guidance, and connections with VIPs throughout the week.

As a fellow, you will engage in organized small group meetings during breaks between sessions, allowing you to connect with influential leaders in the Arctic from various sectors, including academia, industry, government, and defense. Fellow’s dynamic interactions with VIPs will be a “backstage pass” to North America’s largest Arctic event and meeting place.

While conference registration and meals are covered, participants are responsible for their travel and lodging expenses. However, upon admission, an official acceptance letter can be provided to support applications for travel funds from external sources, such as Native corporations, early-career science grants, or current employers.

Apply to the Northern Vision Fellows Program for four days of unparalleled networking, mentorship, and meetings with key figures shaping the future of the Arctic.

The program is open to US citizens and international applicants. We can not assist directly in visa applications for travel to the US beyond a letter of support upon acceptance.
